About This Spot

Stepping into Haramboure is like being gently ushered into a quietly vibrant corner of the Basque country, nestled right in the heart of Madrid’s lively Salamanca district. The moment you cross the threshold, the pace softens—familiar yet distinct—offering a welcome respite from the city’s usual bustle. There’s a subtle hum of conviviality here, where effortless conversation and the clinking of glasses weave seamlessly through the air, all wrapped in a warm, inviting glow.

Haramboure strikes a harmonious balance between elegance and comfort, feeling both thoughtfully curated and warmly personal. It’s the kind of place where you sense the kitchen’s quiet confidence—dishes arrive not as mere sustenance but as moments to be savored and shared. The menu invites you on a gentle journey of textures and flavors: the tenderness of seafood balanced with rustic, earthier notes, all playing with just the right touch of Basque tradition. A starter might awaken your palate with briny bursts and subtle spice, while something heartier radiates homey richness, each plate telling a story beyond the ingredients.

There’s a cozy, understated rhythm here—never rushed, yet always attentive. The staff engage with a direct warmth that feels genuinely grounded, making each visit less like a transaction and more like returning to a familiar spot where your preferences are intuitively understood. The light chatter and bursts of laughter at neighboring tables add to an atmosphere that feels both intimate and alive, a shared experience enhanced by the deep-rooted culture behind each dish.

For those seeking an authentic Basque experience far from the seaside but close to the heart of Madrid, Haramboure provides more than just a meal. It offers a moment of discovery, a small communal celebration of flavors and quiet joy that lingers long after the last bite and sip. Whether it’s a special night out or a casual dinner with friends, this place gently invites you to slow down, savor, and connect.

Amazing restaurant ! If you don’t mind slightly higher prices - it is a place not to be missed ! We are from Singapore and this place was recommended personally by a basque friend from San Sebastian. We arrived and ordered 5 dishes to share : Artichoke - 8/10 - great Leek with Spider crab - 9.5/10 out of this world Iberian pork with white mushroom - 10/10 This place charred the Iberian pork which takes it to the next level. I highly recommend this place to all Asian travellers . All travellers but say Asian cause they will love the taste. They changed the cutleries and plates after each meal . The best Iberian Pork I have ever had ! It is amazing The cons- the service / staff besides the owners needs more training . With more care to it s customers, this place deserves it s Michelin star back ! I highly recommend everyone to try !

Had a great birthday dinner here earlier this month. The onion tart and beef bourguignon were excellent—rich, flavorful, and well-prepared. I was obsessed with the marinated cucumbers that they bring to the table to start, zesty and bright, I would have ordered a big bowl of this if I could. Cozy ambiance and solid service made for a great experience.

Nice atmosphere - service was direct and friendly. I ordered the wrong item and had something I didn’t expect, but that was my fault for not asking the waitress. The gnocchi was memorable; the leeks and crab was alright.
